Tuesday, 13/09/2022 GMT+7

The cooperation between DTS Group and Cornwalls is expected to connect startups and entrepreneurs in Vietnam, help them transform and scale-up internationally.

Within the framework of cooperation, the event "Global Finance and Business Management" was held recently to provide more information about finance and corporate governance, opening opportunities for startup projects seeking new avenues in the international market.

The program is dedicated to C-level leaders (CEO, CMO, CTO...), and supported by Vietnam Financial Consultants Association (VFCA) with the presence of Greg McKean, representative of Queensland Government (Australia). Representatives from Cornwalls, one of Australia's oldest independent law firms, and more than 100 technology projects and businesses, also attended the event.

It was announced that DTS Group would open an investment fund in Australia to directly pour capital into potential businesses in a variety of sectors, with a focus on technology and digital transformation. At the same time, Cornwalls, with its own investment fund, Cornwalls Capital, could invest in businesses introduced by DTS Group.

Under the cooperation, the startup bootcamp, a 12-week program for entrepreneurs, is an opportunity for participants to develop creative thinking and breakthrough business ideas, building business plans to penetrate the Australia market. Joining this program, startups can raise capital from reputable investors and investment funds in Australia and Vietnam, with the support of Cornwalls Capital, DTS Capital and other investment bodies.

Addressing the event, Leon Truong, chairman of DTS group, said: "DTS group hopes that through the program, businesses and business leaders can gain more experience and skills as well as have the opportunity to connect, reach out and develop further."

According to a representative of DTS Group, with its experience and extensive network, DTS Group and Cornwalls will jointly provide Vietnam startups with the opportunity to receive capital support, not only from the Vietnam market but also from Australia, then scale up.

Long Giang Le, chairman of VFCA, said via association members, VFCA wishes to advise investors on projects to generate profit, efficiency, safety and also contribute to the development of the economy and society of the country.

Greg McKean - representative of Queensland Government - emphasized the program is not only attracting domestic units but also other international organizations, and leading industry experts.

"In Australia, an ecosystem is backed by federal and state governments. Not only Queensland, any state is ready to welcome and support startups in the field of technology and digital transformation," emphasized Levent Shevki, CEO of Cornwalls.

According to statistics, in 2022, Vietnam has more than 1,000 technology projects launched. However, many of these projects did not last long, in part due to the lack of qualified personnel to administer and manage finances.
